Billing and upgrades

AI for Docs upgrades happen inside the add-on. Checkout and subscription management are handled by Stripe.

Upgrade to Pro

1. Open a Google Doc.
2. Open AI for Docs from the Extensions menu.
3. In the sidebar, click the usage button at the top right, then Upgrade.
4. Click Subscribe and complete payment.

Credits and plan limits

Your plan determines your monthly credit limit. Learn how credits work in Credits and usage limits.

Refresh your plan status

If you subscribed but the plan did not update yet, click the usage button at the top right, choose Upgrade or Account, then click Refresh.

Cancel or manage billing

Click the usage button at the top right, choose Account, then Manage to open the Stripe customer portal. You can also sign in to the customer portal with the email you paid with to cancel or update your card.

If checkout does not open

Stripe checkout opens in a new tab. If pop-ups are blocked, follow Fix payment pop-up issues.
