Getting started

Install the add-on, then open it from the Extensions menu in Google Docs.

  1. Install from Google Workspace Marketplace: AI for Docs.
  2. Open a Google Doc.
  3. Go to Extensions, open AI for Docs, then click 🚀 Use Audio to Text.
  4. Upload audio (or paste a shared Google Drive link).
  5. Select a template like Meeting minutes, then click Generate & Insert into Doc.

Quick start prompt (optional)

In Audio to Text, you can leave Prompt empty and use a template. If you want to guide the output, paste something like this:

Write meeting minutes from this recording.

Requirements:
- Focus on decisions and action items
- Use bullets for action items
- Do not invent details
