Troubleshooting

Use this page to fix the most common issues. If you are still stuck, email support@simplemetrics.xyz.

I cannot find AI for Docs in the Extensions menu

1. Confirm you installed the add-on from Marketplace. See Getting started.
2. Refresh the Google Docs tab, or fully close and reopen the document.
3. Make sure you are signed into the same Google account that installed the add-on.
4. Try opening the doc in Chrome if you are using a different browser.

I see “Not enough usage credits” or I cannot run

• Open the Account tab to check your remaining usages and reset date.
• Upgrade from the Account tab, or use 🎁 Get Free Usage in the Extensions menu.

Audio upload fails or the file is too large

• Try using a shared Google Drive link in the Audio tab instead of uploading.
• Make sure the Drive file is accessible (for example, “Anyone with the link”).
• Confirm the file type is supported (mp3, m4a, wav, mp4, mov, and similar).

The Subscribe button is stuck on loading

Stripe checkout opens in a new tab. If pop-ups are blocked, it may look stuck. Follow Fix payment pop-up issues.

Custom instructions will not save

Custom instructions are available on the Pro plan. If you are on Free, saving will show an error. See Custom instructions.

I cannot find the generated text

AI for Docs inserts output under a new section heading near the end of the document. Scroll down after a run to find the inserted minutes or transcript.
