Is an API key required to use the product?
No API key is required to use our product. Simply use =GEN() in Google Sheets to access the features.
I keep seeing "Please click 🚀 Use AI Formulas in the menu to start" even after clicking. How to fix it?
First, make sure you opened Extensions → AI for Sheets → Use AI Formulas at least once. Then check if you are the owner of the current Google Sheet. You need to be the owner of the sheet (not a Shared Drive file) to use this add-on. Create a new sheet or make a copy of the sheet and try again. How to fix the "API Key is not set" error message?
Our product does not require an API key. This error message is usually from other add-ons that you have installed. Remove other add-ons in your Google Sheets to resolve this issue.
Why do I keep seeing the "Exceeded maximum execution time" error message?
This error occurs when the AI response takes too long. To avoid it, add a length limit such as "Keep the response under 100 words." You can also turn Smarter off in Custom instruction and cache.
I want to pay but I got stuck on the "Subscribe" button showing loading.
If the "Subscribe" button is stuck on loading, please allow pop-ups from https://docs.google.com/ in Chrome's settings under Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Pop-ups and Redirects. You can find our step-by-step guide here.
How can I avoid unnecessary usage of credits due to Google Sheets' auto-refresh feature?
To prevent unnecessary usage due to refresh or recalculation, use Save formula output. It converts AI formulas into static values so they do not re-run.

Your data will NOT be used by Google for training or any other purposes.
Can AI for Sheets summarize my Gmail in Google Sheets?
Due to privacy restrictions, our add-on cannot directly access your Gmail. However, you can manually copy the email content into Google Sheets.
